We enjoyed our tour of Sears think[box] on September 20th and appreciated host Bob Sopko sharing the history of this incredible maker space along with the support they offer to entrepreneurs.
We had a handful of our members join us on the Case campus. Interestingly, a technology teacher at Willoughby South HS shared the event so several students accompanied their fathers on the tour. It was nice to get the kids’ perspectives on technology and see their interest in the cool technology offered by think[box].
Backed by the expertise of an R1 research institution, think[box] opened in its current location in 2015 to bring together resources for venture creation and entrepreneurship under one roof. Their vision is to inspire, educate and empower an inclusive community to explore, innovate, and solve problems. The site is comprised of seven (7) floors with each themed by Collaboration, Prototyping, Fabrication, Project Space, Entrepreneurship, and Incubator.
We’re proud to offer unique, interesting tours such as this to our members and excited to bring awareness of these resources to our constituents.
