We hosted our Annual Meeting and Past Presidents Dinner on November 16th at the Mustard Seed Market in Highland Square. We had a nice turnout and enjoyed celebrating our past Presidents while offering a recap of 2023 along with plans for 2024.
We shared a review of our 2023 goals along with results:
2023 General Goals | 2023 General Results |
New Members: 10+ | Added 9 new members through 10/31 |
Events: partner with 1-2 external groups | Hosted joint event with SIM – Cleveland |
Member value: identify opportunities for new/improved value | Formally agreed to join a newly created national AITP organization |
Sponsorships: Secure one or more program or annual sponsor | Centric Consulting provided a $2000 sponsorship |
Financial condition: maintain or improve | Maintained a strong, stable position |
Communications: increase and improve member and stakeholder communications | Increased content posted to site but overall still a work in progress |
We also shared an overview of the chapter’s financial performance including a year-to-date income statement, assets at 10/31, and expected revenue/expenses to close out the year.
In sum: we remain in a solid and stable financial position.
Additionally, we reviewed programs and events from 2023 along with our survey results and initial plans for 2024 programming.
Currently, we expect to have programs centered on: MS CoPilot, AI and ChatGPT, Cybersecurity, Quantum Computing, a local tech tour and others. Details on topics and the 2024 schedule will be published in December
We’re planning upgrades to our website to align to the national organization as needed, provide a better user experience, and improve the overall look and feel. We shared updates on that project as well as other infrastructure improvements we’re working on.
Finally, our planned keynote presenter backed out at the last minute so instead we were treated to a fascinating COVID data collection/mapping project presented by our board member, Dr. James Glasgow. The project was funded by Google and was an interesting story of gathering important infection data from developing countries in Africa.
Here are a few other pictures from our annual meeting.
